AT attenuator help?
« on: July 25, 2003, 07:55:56 PM »
i just got some attenuators for my setup, i know they pass phantom power, so should i run them going into my ps/2 or out of it, just curious, im sure both work but im looking for the most reliable way to run them.  i also have a pair of 3' x-stream cables, would it be smart to run it this way at4051a>kiwi xlr>ps/2>xstream>attenuator>ad20
would this be okay, ive never had experience with phantom power and attenuators before i bought my new mics, they sound good and the attenuation should be perfect at -10db, thanks for you suggestions.

Out of it - you attenuate for the sake of your pre, not your ps ;D
Enjoy

Somewhere in between the PS-2 and the AD-20.

I mean, if you're not stealthing, then just go PS2>attens>AD-20 for the good ol' Brick-o'-Denecke and for the sake of shortening the signal path.

Definately seen that one in action before!  It looks intimidating as hell.
