pitch adjustment
« on: March 17, 2006, 02:12:27 AM »
I don't know if this is the right forum to put this.  It is isn't, please move it accordingly.

I am transferring a few tapes to CDR for a friend of mine.  I noticed that one of his tapes is playing fast.  My cassette deck has pitch adjustment on it.  How do you actually use it?  I know you turn the knob to slow/speed recording.  How do you figure out what speed the recording is currently playing at, so I know how much to slow it down?  Second it is better to slow it down with the deck or with audio software?

I have the follwoing software: Cool Edit, Goldwave, & Samplitude

Thanks in advance,
Mako
