which usb cable for microtrack?
« on: May 27, 2006, 02:12:04 AM »
Hey, all.  I picked up a portable/rechargable battery for my mt.  It's one of the ebay batteries that they sell for ipods, etc.  It has the typical femal USB plug on the end, so I want to pick up a retractable USB>MiniUSB cable to connect it to my mt.  Is there any important difference between type 1.1 and type 2.0 USB cables?  I'm looking at something like this, but I want to make sure it will work:  http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-RCA-6-USB-A-to-B-Mini-5-Pin-Retractable-Cable_W0QQitemZ9732570357QQcategoryZ48680QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Eric

look at the throughput rates of USB 1.1 vs USB 2.0.  in short, you want USB 2.0.

5V of electricity isn't going to care, as long as the fittings are right.
