Need 9.6v check out these 4500mAh....

4500 mAh batteries, size C (8 in series to make 9.6v), and they have tabs so that you can make a pack (they also have chargers, and the shrink wrap too).

8 for 35.00

I ordered them a couple of days ago, and got them assembled, and I will let you know how they work in the field, but I hopefully should be able to do 9+ hours with my UA5 on a single charge.

here is a link for assembling the batteries, it has video

i didn't have the magnetic holder, but I used a piece of drywall corner on an incline, and it worked fine.  hope this helps.

Well I got the batteries together and just plugged it in and ran the UA-5.  It lasted a little less than 11 hours on what feels like a 1.5 lbs of batteries.  Totally Sweet.

I don't recall wether the gain was up all the way or not.  I will run it again soon, and let you know.

it doesn't really matter if it was all the way up, just turned up some.  thanks again for the find. I'm always looking for ways to keep my UA5 powered for as long as possible.
