Title: Tiny Box power
Post by: jmerin on November 13, 2014, 11:27:28 AM
I just received my tiny box in the mail and when I charged it up, it shows orange on the display. I charged it over night. Does the unit ever show another color when fully charged?

On the actual AC adpater there is a LED light and that turns from red to green when fully charged. (At least there was when i owned one)

per this thread -- http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=169570.0 -- the indicator light on newer tiny boxes (which use nimh batteries instead of lithium ion) no longer turns green.  Instead, Jon indicates that a maximum of 6 hours charging time will fully charge its battery

Any TB above version 2 has the indicator on the pre.

I charged it for a while (over 6 hours) and it stayed orange. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it was green.

With the KCY version you can run it for 20 hours or so.  I ran mine the first night of Xmas jam 7:30 p.m.-4:00 a.m. last year for all sets and it only took 15 minutes to top if off when I got home.  I have the v2 so it has the old battery system that has a charging light that turns green when it is finished charging.

I charged it for a while (over 6 hours) and it stayed orange. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it was green.
