Title: SLA chargin

i've just been runnin my sla this weekend, and i was wondering, should i de-charge it before charging it full?  i figured yes, but i thought i should ask.  anyone's help is appreciated.

Definitely not.  SLAs are like car batteries - full discharge bad for battery life.  You might be thinking of NiCads.

but how do you regulate power in the battery for charging, specifically so you don't cook the battery and destroy it?

as far as i know it doesn't have nhythingo n it that will tell me if its done, its a real simple charger, so...   would i have to see what amperage its pushin, and then guess the tiem from there to full charge??

Quite frankly, I don't care what you have heard, in actual expereince I have left batts plugged in for weeks at a time without any problems, as well as draining the old crap out of them with no problems either.  Honestkly Matt, with the ps you have got going, I wouldn't ever worry about fully discharging that batt, as there is no way you wil ever drain it to the extent to which you are talking about.

I can't wait for friday!!!!  My five month moe hiatus is OVER!
