At first glance they appeared to be Schoeps, but after looking a little closer they resemble the AKG ckXx caps. I remember reading DSatz's post about Schoeps' custom colors, so it got me thinking.

No - definitely *not* a VR1.

I have a VR1 and CK1 and it does not look like this.

This looks like the capsule swivels and there is no swivel on the end of a VR1.

It could be a custom VR of course, with the end remade and set at a fixed angle
