Powering a marantz 661 dpa 4022 phantom on?
« on: April 23, 2015, 12:12:22 PM »
Will a standard dvd battery do the job? Looks like tekkeons have issues?

Thanks, Marc.

The 661 requires 5V.
Do not feed it more than 5V.
Any standard USB battery pack with proper power cable will work.
The 661 is a great deck!!....  and the Oade's mod too if desired.

MP3300 here and I run it anyway I want. If you try the other 5v batteries make sure they output 1.5 amps. My mics are real power hogs and the results were less than pleasant with a the USB output my battery had running phantom on, but line in no problem.
