7.2 vs/ 9v Li-ion for a V3?
« on: May 24, 2007, 08:11:10 PM »
are there any pro's and con's when considering these two dif voltages for a v3 that is 6v, I just got ed's cable for the li-ion b/c the bag was getting a bit heavy with using eco charge systems.  Any help would be appreciated, bonnaroo and other festivals are coming up and I needed a battery option.   Shane Sheffield

Yep. I believe the only thing you will notice is the 9V will be a tad bit warmer.

I am charging two 6v/12ah sla's as we speak. I dread carrying this shit around. Can you give me a link to the cable you bought and the battery it goes to? Thanks and +t

I found the cable at kind kables. The one thing that I worry about is this thing with the fuse blowing in these Wally batteries. Is that a huge issue?

the v3 can handle both ok, the 9v one causes the v3 to run a bit warmer but no big deal.
All I have are 9v LI-on's

I have two of the Wally type 9Vs for my V3, and have never had an issue.  I always bring two, and since the thread about the possible short, I keep one of the chargers, which are pretty small, in the bag, in case I ever have to do a field reset.  Never had to so far.

b&h is where I bought mine at as well.  Im wondering since I use the 722 a/d and not the v3 if I will be able to get a longer recording time out of the 9v?
