Can i run a pair of CA-11 mics on a 12volt SP-SPSB-11
-
Just contacted chris church and he said it’s slightly to much volts.
-
I think you can put some small resistor in the microphone jack to drop 12V down. I remember Chris said that Ca11 has current consumption less than 1mA with 9V battery box. Maybe Chris or someone who knows electronics could advise you the resistor size.

Interesting. When I bought mine way back when they were called CA-STC-11 he said 12v was OK.

I would also spring for one of these battery boxes if it could be used with CA-14's (Both Omnis/Cards)
I am really wanting a new TINY battery box. Make things simpler and smaller.

So can anyone confirm that this will damage the Church mics? I have both 9v power and the tiny 12v option and would love to know it won't hurt the Church CA-14's. I pinged Chris too, and got no answer. (Typical)
Anyone successfully running 12v into CA-14s?

Chris from SP recently informed me that you can use the mini-9V batteries (25A, 29A, 32A types) in the SP-SPSB-10 (normally 12v also).
This might also work for the -11.

The 11 is just the 10 with switchable rolloff. I've run Ca-11s into both models with no issues.

FYI, I ran the SP-SPSB-10 last night with Church Audio CA-14 Cards and had no issues.

I'll double up. I've used the SP-SPSB-10 with DPA 4061's and had no issues.
