picturebook power ? (rc pack powering)
« on: March 21, 2004, 07:25:36 PM »
i have been trying to find a cheaper power option for my picturebook than buying several of the 4x capacity batterys

the picturebook itself wont run on just 12v external power without the internal battery, and 12v external isnt enough to actually charge the internal and increase runtime much at all

i was wondering about buying multiple 8.4v rc packs and wiring 2 in a series to produce 16.8v. the charger outputs 16v, so im assuming that the extra 0.8 volts would be ok???

im definantly going to need some extended runtime on several occasions, and thought this might be a cheap easy option as i could have a few sets of these wired and ready to go. they woould charge my internal while taping and be hot swappable...

any thoughts or ideas? any other options for getting 16v out of anything?

Dustin
