So...

Multitrack recording including 2x DPA 4022 as ambient mics into a channel each on the HD24 (via a Tinybox). Screenshot one shows one of the DPA tracks, both of which have the same odd, uneven, downgoing spikes. The second screenshot shows one of the spikes zoomed in - all look pretty much the same.

So what could have caused this? None of the other tracks are affected. The only possible factor I can think of is that someone was controlling some of the stage lights by plugging and unplugging a mains plug.

Any thoughts?

do the spikes happen at exactly the same time on both channels?

does the tinybox have balanced outputs? balanced inputs? i know the 4022's have a fairly long tail... how long a cable between the tinybox and hd24?

Yup, both channels at the same time and always down-going.

Balanced inputs but unbalanced outputs and quite a long (and cheap) cable between TB and HD24.

Izotope cleaned it up beautifully btw
