HOB - Chicago; Foundation Room taping possible?
« on: May 18, 2004, 02:58:45 PM »
Anyone know if it's possible? I'll be there for the GBA shows this weekend and have Foundation Room (and possibly suite) access and would hate to leave my gear set-up downstairs if I don't have to.

Anyone else going?

Thanks for any input...

Across the boards, HOB are anti picture, anti taping.... of course if the band allows it and is willing to fight to let you have it, it's all good.

With that said, I snuck in a 75-200 mm lens and camera etc to the BTE HOB show in Chicago i think 2 1/2 years ago, had foundation room, etc, and never got busted.

You don't want to leave anything into the foundation room that I can tell, but I was really .. really.... REALLY .... drunk (let's just say after the show it took me almost 3 hours to get to Naperville from the HOB driving.).

Very tough to get gear into HOB's.  At HOB Hollywood, I hid my gear in the restraunt and enetred the concert area and came back down to get it.  At HOB Anaheim, they don't allow re-entry at all.  I threw my gear from outside to the top floor to my friend.

HOB Chicago isn't as anti-taping as some other HOBs are...many a full-rig tape has been made there, myself included...

Ditto, I've never had a problem taping an open taping band at the HOB Chicago. Three for three success. Go for it.
