It appears to me that all of your mics are omnis (if I missed something I apologize in advance as I'm reading the site from my phone). Are they intended for diffuse field or free field use?
Also, are you familiar with the 4.7k mod that's been mentioned in this thread? If so, would you consider offering it in your mics?
Yes, omnis only. They are not specialised enough in their response that free-field or diffuse-field use would make a difference (and we don't have proper equipment to measure it precisely, unfortunately).
I am not familiar with the mod, so will have look into that – but our main goal is recording with very low self-noise, so we don't want to sacrifice that for higher SPLs. There is already a plenty of mics in that market.
Hi Mrkva,
welcome in the forum. We are neighbors, I am from Prague. Microphones look very interesting. It seems that the purpose is for ambiance recordings. I would like to ask if they are suitable for recording music? If yes, could be the microphones compared to internal microphones in better hand held recorders e.g. in the Sony M10 or are they improved? Do you have any music recordings?
I wish you all the best. I like what you do.

For music – yes, unless it is not louder then the max SPLs stated on our websites. They are _very_ sensitive, more sensitive then most regular mics you can find on the market – I often need only couple of dB of amplification. In my personal opinion, they sound better then any built-in mic, maybe with exception of Sony PCM-D100, which seems to be similar. But in this comparison, the main benefit is the ability of free positioning and eliminating the handling noise. We also sell custom-made Rycote mounts for 3/8" mounting.
