Title: Split/Combine & Playback Help
Post by: jmitchell on February 01, 2019, 12:05:04 PM
F8 4 channels @24/48 > Two SanDisk Extreme Pro 95mb/s 128gb > Wave Agent

The wav files from the show I taped last night will not process in Wave Agent.  I get a message that says, "Failed. Can not open one of the file."  I ran 2 SD cards and have tried all of this on both cards.  I have tried processing in Wave Agent, and have transferred the files off of the SD to my PC and have tried to split there, but I get the same message.  The files will not decode in TLH or dBpoweramp, the files will not play when imported into Samplitude.

The files will play in Wave Agent, Foobar, on the F8.

When trying to decode in TLH I get the message, "190131-T001.WAV:  error processing file (WAVE has >2 channels but is not WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE; cannot assign channels)."

I recently did a reinstall of Windows 10 and this is the first time that I have used Wave Agent since the reinstall.

I'm not sure what else to do.  I am hopeful there is a quick fix, since I know the files will play.

**EDIT**

The same thing occurs when I try to split an older  file that I have already processed.

Maybe try another program?  Audacity is free.  Try opening the files in Audacity and see if it throws any errors.

If I run Wave Agent as admin, it appears to work  :banging head:
