Title: Have I bought a dud CF card?
Post by: andygs on April 24, 2006, 12:59:19 PM
Hi, today I got a SanDisc  ultra11  4gb CF card for my microtrack, however when I incert it I get a message "no media found"
I've also tried it in my printer and get a "card access error" message.
Have I bought a dud card or is this card not compatible with the microtrack?
If so what's the best card to use?
Thanks.

Hmmm... Might be a dud.  Did you try to format it yet or just stick it in?  I have a 8gig of the same type that works fine with the microtrack.

maybe a dud card?  I've been using a 4gig Sandisk Ultra II with the Microtrack, and it's been fine.

I have a pair of the Ultra II's and have never had an issue in either an R1 or HD-P2...  sounds like a dud :(

My microtrack ver1.2.3 initially rejected the Sandisk Ultra II by not recognizing it as media, but powering MT completely on-off a few times fixed this allowing successful format process, at least in my case. No problems since.
