Thought I'd post a link and a few pics of the newest SRS design, the SRS Duo Lyre Base. The one in my pics is the 1/4"-20 version. He also makes a 3/8" version as well! They also come WITH the Threaded Brass inserts and the M3 screws. Scott though of everything on these! FWIW, I contacted the same company thetjcb did and they wanted $95/1 or $200/3 of the Aluminum Bases that he got done from that NYC Company
They are badass, but there was NO WAY I was spending that much for a professional looking duo lyre base! I wanted to go this route because I wanted the stiffer/grey duo lyre, and to purchase it and the INVHG mkiii base would be $120. However, buying these for only $20 from SRS, you can get the duo lyre itself[black or grey] for only $39/each, so $60 TOTAL, so HALF of what they'd cost new if you were to buy the Rycote INVHG mkiii base + Grey Duo Lyre all separately like you HAVE to!
Plus, the SRS Base + Duo Lyre weighs OVER HALF of what the INVHG mkiii Base + Duo Lyre weighs! Anyway, here's the link so I don't have to keep repeating myself. Enjoy! And contact Scott[SRS Recording Services] at: srs@srsrecordingservices.com , if you're interested in these killer looking bases! I LOVE how much more compact they are than the INVHG mkiii bases are too, along with them weighing HALF as much! Pair them with a small Rowi/similar Ballhead like in the pictures I took in the link below, and you have an even better swivel than the INVHG mkiii IMO! I have a small Rowi ballhead like that on every shock that I own!
