Small desktop video monitors
« on: June 29, 2006, 12:50:47 PM »
I’ve been using this little guy http://www.spytown.com/evcollcdporm.html as a desktop monitor for video production/dvd playback for about 5 years and it has died and I want a new one.  I just can't go back to my foot long rectangular JVC 5" monitor and I certainly don't have room full time for my 15" Sony monitor {which I can still set up occasionally for critical  viewing}.

Is anyone using something similar and where did you get it?

I’m seeing a lot of them for sale as auto accessories running on 12V power {and much cheaper than that Everfocus model} and also as game add ons.  It seems like monitors being sold as video production accessories {which I am familiar with} are more expensive than the auto/gaming models {which I’m not familiar with}.

Any insights would be appreciated.
