Title: Powering Mixpre 10T

Hello All
Please forgive my ignorance, I have a SD Mixpre 10t with a couple of Lectrosonic receiver  which I am powering from a Vlock battery   
 I have just been told that it was not good to power sound gears from a DTap 14V battery! I would love to have some input from this community

yes you need a seperate power source.working on the same problem right now.going to build a custom power cable.when i figure it out ill post to this site.
