Word Clock cables. Just 75ohm BNC right?

I'm finally gonna start using an external clock on my rig. I'm 99% sure that you just use 75ohm cables with BNC connectors. Thought I post real quick to make sure. Back me up?

yep 75ohm it is.  Also curious as to what master you are using.  We run Lucid's here are work.  Although on occassion wee use the DCS as a master.

Heard some pretty good things about the Lucid clocks.

I use a Rosendahl Nanoclocks myself.

I'm not buying a generater. I'm broke. I am just gonna play with using the clock from my V3 for shits and giggles. This would be apposed to the internal on my MOTU units. Any input? I haven't had money for gear in over a year.

MOTU is considered to be pretty marginal in the pres and converters department, in the grand scheme of things.  Lesser digital units tend to benefit tremendously from a good clock source.

I would imagine the Grace clock will be a significant improvement for you.  Maybe not as good as a dedicated outboard clock generator, but I'd be surprised if it wasn't a nice step up from the internal MOTU clock.

Good luck!

Thanks. That's why I thought I'd try this. I use outboard preamps and the line inputs mostly but the clock will still help I think.
