Title: Specific 4.7k Mod question
Post by: Cheesecadet on November 10, 2019, 11:30:16 AM
Does anyone know if it is possible to make a dual mini-xlr cable to a stereo 1/8" with the 4.7k mod in that interconnect?

I ask because I have a pair of AT933s w/ AT853 SC caps that currently terminate in mini-XLR and have a specific interconnect of dual mini-XLR to 6-Pin that I use with my Tinybox.

I am hoping the above cable is another option I might be able to use so I could run the AT mics into my PIPsqueak using an 1/8" connector with the 4.7k mod in it to avoid distortion.

All this in a effort to keep making my lopro gear smaller with the versatility of using two different preamps and all the while keeping the mini-XLR connectors on the mics.  Hopefully that makes sense!?!?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Ryan

Yes Rayan, you can do it. I didn't do it myself but it shouldn't be difficult. Here is a thread about it.

Sure, it make sense! Just be sure your PIPsqueak is giving right voltage for AT mics.

Darn - my PIPsqueaks both have the 4-pin binder....good luck with your mod.
