John W, I don't think I've ever seen Sennheiser call any of their microphones a "hypercardioid" either. Sennheiser is one of the few manufacturers that consistently use the term "supercardioid" when it is the pattern closest to the actual pattern of their microphones.
But as you've undoubtedly noticed, many people here confuse both supercardioids and "shotgun" (interference tube) microphones with what they like to call "hypers," and that's why I spoke up.
