So I just did not like how Sound Forge 11's work flow was presenting itself for the type of work that I do. I decided to get a cheap copy of Wavelab Elements 9 since I've been using Wavelab 6 Pro for ever.
So tonight I cannot sleep and I get up and decide that I am gonna make a matrix from an audience 20+ year old master DAT that I just transferred.
The SBD is shopped up into 12 tracks so I Montage the project. One long audience track and 12 SBD clips. The drift is a bit too long on the final 15 minute song so I decide I have to chop it up to help with the drift. I save my Montage which is now 13 files go to split up SBD track 12 and when I try to open up the Montage again I get the following. Anyone know what gives

Gonna reply to my own thread here. 65 views and no guesses but my own.
I just bought Wavelab Pro 9.5. I'm guessing it is a limitation of the dumbed down "freebie" version that comes with recorders. I can see that they have completely omitted the "batch process" feature and replaced it with some kind of "Podcast" one instead.
I will report back once I confirm that 9.5 Pro is fine.
In the end I re-did all of the work and it renders the file fine you just cannot save a working montage file.
