Two interesting products (flash memory)
« on: June 12, 2007, 08:41:43 AM »
1st is the SD->CF adaptor from Panasonic.  This is great if you have a few cards of each type.  Who knows if they will work without error in these CF digital recorders (660,671, etc...)

2nd is the Wolvarine MVP.  This is a memory card portable storage device.  You can dump your recordings to this device on its 60GB-120GB drive.  This would eliminate the need for multiple memory cards or function as a backup.  A bonus for this device is it plays WAV/mp3 files and acts as a multimedia player, including video.  It also has a audio line in for recording.  There is not information on the web telling if the recording line in is any good or if you can change levels ect...  Neat!~

Here is a cheaper SD->CF card adapter.  I just bought one.  I will let yinz know how it works.  (although I dont have a CF audio recorder, just camera's, mp3 players, etc...)

Here is another new portable storage card device. Looks to be both cheaper and smaller.

Looks like it just came out, no one seems to have it in stock.  :(
I could have used one of these at the bluegrass festival I taped over the weekend.

Just found this one as well.

I like this one because it uses AA batteries (100GB of data transfer per charge).

Best price I could find:

I'm liking the first one mentioned because of the wav/mp3/video/ect. playback... not much more money for the added features.... after all, you know what Alton Brown says about uni-taskers.... 'not in my kitchen'.

i tried this SD card -> CF adapter in the PMD660 and I got the "unformat" error.

It works great in my card reader on my computer....

I was using Kingston 2GB SD-> Datafab CF adapter.....
