Title: Naztech PB15000 help
Post by: wlp on August 29, 2015, 07:22:31 PM
Just got the naztech pb15000 today from Amazon (good price).  Charged it for about 5 hrs when it showed 4 bars, then tried to turn it on.  Nothing, no led, no light. Any clue as to what I am doing wrong.  Even though it is advertised as coming fully charged and ready to use, I don't think it had a charge out of the box.

Hold the power button for 30 seconds!

No luck. I'll try charging it overnight and then try again.

Charged overnight and still no luck. Send it back to Amazon I guess.

Same thing happened to me with a unit I got from amazon last month. sent it back.
I have four other PB1500 units, a couple had developed some issues with the display at times, but then after some time seemed to have gotten themselves together again.
And the power switch on one doesn't 'click', but so far still turns on when pressed hard for a bit.

Can't say as I only sampled one unit.  I thought I would save some money, but think I'll just have to bite the bullet and buy one directly from Naztech.

If there is a trend in recent purchases from amazon, it is good for us to document/pay attention.
But I should note that I have been using these for a few years now, and readily admit that some of my issues (other than the latest new purchase) could well be attributed to poor handling on my part.
I now take better care packing my gear and use cushioned or hard case vessels for the delicate stuff.
The PB1500 has/have served me very well; I think they are a great power source.

Not long after my first experience with an Amazon ordered unit (sent back), I decided to try another one.  Have had it for at least a month and it functions perfectly.  At this point, I wouldn't have a problem ordering another one through Amazon.

Good to hear. I was pondering ordering one, but had hesitated because of the issues.

I had two of these fail on me in less than a year's time. The first one was also DOA out of the box, these were all ordered on Amazon. Both were under warranty at the time of failure but I neglected to send them in so now I have two dead one's collecting dust. I switched the the Anker Astro Pro2, it's a little bit of a pita to turn on since it has to sense demand but that is also good because it will power itself off once you turn off your gear. It's thinner, lighter & 20,000 mAh for about the same money, maybe a little less than the Naztech FYI.
