Recommendations on 6V battery for V3
« on: September 05, 2007, 10:49:16 AM »
Anyone have any info on the best rechargables to use for a V3? I'm looking to replace my current 6V's and was wondering if anyone knows of the best/longest lasting rechargables out there. I've looked at the Eco-charge's from Sonic Sense and they look pretty good, but I'm looking for input from other users out there.

Thanks

Go to the 9 volt lithium ions.  Lighter and your V3 will have no problem with it.

I use the portable dvd batteries. They work well. The v3 runs a little warm with the extra juice but it's not bad enough to toast sandwichs

100% agreed on the 9v DVD batteries.   1/3 the size of the SLA and like 1/5 of the weight or so.  Several cable makers here on the site can make you up a cable and the V3 WILL support 6v-12v without problems.   I've had at least 6 hours per battery.  Never ran one down with the V3 to tell how much longer they'd last but at least 6 hours.

I just bought a V3 on the YS and it came with a 9V DVD battery, but went online to see if I could find a really 6V and found these quick charge Li-On battery packs on a website that I have bought from before:

$49.95 for 14.25Whr  6V http://www.bixnet.com/misihicabapa.html

$79.95 for 22Whr @ 6V http://www.bixnet.com/mumiexbapaki.html, and this battery has a switch to set the voltage output at 6V or 8.4V, and it also has a 11V DC

I bought a 44Whr for $99 one to power my PMD660 and this battery has a switch to set the voltage output at 5V, 8.4V or 11V. I love it and have never even come close to losing power, even running it all day. I think I might end up using it to power my V3 at the 8.4V if my DVD battery dies.

Hot Sh*T! I already own one of these. I use it to power my HD-P2. Maybe I'll pick up another for my V3, I totally had a brain fart on that one, I shoulda known I could switch it down for the V3. Thanks! +T
