Title: Edirol UA-5 USB bus powered?
Post by: RMayberry on April 07, 2014, 11:58:12 AM
I am getting an Edirol UA-5 and I want to run a digital(coax) line level signal through it and need to know if I am not using "phantom power" can I power it via USB?

Basically I want to use it as a digital USB sound card.

Thanks.

Rick

A Edirol UA5 / 9v / Size M, 5.50mm OD × 2.10mm ID / Center pin (-)  Ring (+) Reverse Polarity / Know to run off 7.2v w/ no issues

To the best of my knowledge, it cannot be powered by 5v USB power.
