Title: PPC Tech USB AA power back - would it work with a Microtrack?
Post by: jlykos on August 11, 2006, 01:51:45 PM
I am wondering if this thing would work with a MT.  Just want to inquire before I order one for $20.  I like the fact that it has some kind of a voltage regulating chip in it.  I did an ebay search for a device that would power a MT with 4 AA batteries and they all have to be shipped from the UK.  No thanks.

Thanks in advance!

Answered my own question.  Yes, it would.

follow-up question would be whether it would work with rechargable nimh batteries (@ 1.2 volts per battery) as well as alkaline batteries (@ 1.5 volts per battery)

It can take rechargable Ni-Cd batteries that also output 1.2v each, so I would assume that it would also accept nimh.  There is a switch on the unit to go back and forth between Ni-Cd and alkaline.
