Title: Budget option for simple balcony rail clamp?
Post by: jagraham on January 18, 2020, 07:26:53 PM
I’m looking for a simple balcony clamp solution for a last minute show, see the pic below for the rail. Does anyone have any recommendations of how to clamp to a railing with a super or other clamp? I already have the ability to mount my mics, I’m just looking to clamp to the rail an adjustable pole. Doesn’t need to be very tall because it’s a reserved seating show.

I’m aware there is other info on the boards on this but was hoping someone could point me to something on Amazon because I need it quickly. Is there a good cheap extension pole or even a DYI setup that would work with the manfrotto super clamp with the 2908 stud? I’ve read how it can clamp to anything but I’m confused as to what I need in addition to raise my mics. Probably will be running at 853 hypers. Any input appreciated.

The Manfrotto 122B works well for this. You can also pair it with the 003 base to make a low on-stage stand...

I use one of these for lots of scenarios but 6 inches may not be enough for you
