Title: Quality Audio w/ Video (GoPro?)

Headed to the Caribbean in January for a vacation which also includes a music festival in Jamaica :-)
and thought I might get a "GoPro" camera to document some of the adventures. But then I thought... since I'm recording (audio) I wonder if I could just mount up the GoPro to my stand and get video at the same time...

I have absolutely ZERO experience with GoPros or syncing any type of video to my audio or doing any video at all other than Facebook Live from iPhone.

Is there an easy way to combine the sound from my normal audio rig to the GoPro video? (Either in real time or later?)

for the models listed seems like you can patch your mics using the above.

Post by: down2earthlandscaper on December 20, 2018, 09:35:31 PM: I'd be open to other options than GoPro. The iPhone 8 takes really good videos. If there's a way to feed a line out of my Mixpre6 into the iPhone that would be an interesting option...

Post by: u2_fly_2 on March 18, 2019, 01:33:57 PM: If you can stand close to the source of music...get a Zoom HQ3 Video Cam...great 720p / 1080p and ofcourse great internal mic´s with 96/24 Bit Audio-option...in my opinion Zoom has the best internal mic´s except for perhaps R-26...then again...External mic´s win´s the race over the "internal mic´s"...

Only downside with Zoom HQ3 is that the "digital zoom" is more or less useless...so stand close to the source...Remember it´s only 4 point Zoom and those "zoom options" are very weak...it´s basically a video cam without a zoom to be honest...otherwise easy to stealth with....smaller/or like a phone...easy to carry...
