i loved that combo, 'course i was easy to please....i stepped up to the dmic from a rolls pre modded for 1/8" line in to D7  :-[

listening back, i still like that combo...i honestly don't think you can do better for under 600 bucks for mics AND an ad/pre.... + now todd can do a mod on the dmic for fine-tuning, and calico is slingin mod mc012's for 260 something....i've also heard good things about the mc012s with a warm mod edirol ua5.

I ran the combo of a month. I got rid of it becuase I needed to be able to adjust levels. I would reccomend the combo they sound very nice together. If your dmic-20 is unmoded do it yourself its not hard
