i ordered a bogen/manfrotto 3078, a 13 footer from bhphoto for 76 and it was like 140 for the same thing at micsupply....

I was pretty sure they weren't the cheapest, but a good place for model numbers....just be sure to get the sound pro's adapter mentioned earlier in this thread....

FWIW, if anyone else is looking at stands / thread adapters, there are some model numbers and specs on Bogen / Manfrotto and some other stands in the Archival Information section.

No worries, Nick - the Archival section is far from complete, and there's nothing wrong with using all the sources available to us online.  The WWW:  what a great resource!
