good sensitive mic for low budget
« on: January 24, 2004, 07:03:30 AM »
so I saw a lot of you were using AT mics in stereo couple, I'm looking for very sensitive condenser mics (like 12 mV/Pa or more) that can be used in couple, with a good frequency response and S/N ratio. That should be a little mic (in fact it's the km 184 I have in mind, but they're too expensive).
Is there an AT mic that can do that, for around 200? (let's say a little more than 150$) each?
Is there an alternative in other brands?
I've spotted the c1000s,  the rode nt3/nt4/nt5 (a pair of nt3), maybe the behringer b5 (two capsule for 110? that seems hard to believe they're good).
Are some of you using these mics with good results on low level sounds?
thanks for your answers
