9V 1700mAh Li-Ion: alternative for UA-5?
« on: June 04, 2009, 04:38:37 AM »
On my quest for a smaller battery to my UA-5 I came across this:
http://www.unityelectronics.com/product-product_id/3218

Model: Hi-Capacity B-8669
Price: $14.99
Dimensions    3.22 x 2.02 x 0.39 inches
Weight    0.22 lb

This translates to roughly the size of an Ipod Mini, and would be lighter than carrying the wally world batt for low-pro...
It seems that it doesn't ship with a charger, but recharges over USB (although it looks like a firewire cable on the pic)?
I'd also need to DIY a custom power cable to connect it to the UA-5.

Did anybody try it?

Yeah, but it was a different battery.
In this case, I was interested to know about what's in the bundle, regards to the cabling/charging options.
It's always safer to ask for opinions, before jumping on unknown gear.
