Build a pad?
« on: March 09, 2004, 04:42:35 PM »
I'm assembling parts to put a miniplug input on my AD-20 for my SP mini cards. I got some info on providing plug-in power and am yet undecided if I will build that in as well or leave it up to an external box.
If I do build in the power, I'm going to need to attenuate the signal a little from the AT933s. Right now I just use the adjustable output sliders in my SP battery box to turn them down a little before going into the AD-20 so I can keep the gain in the middle of the range (otherwise I have to have the gain all the way down on the AD-20).
Can anyone tell me or point me to a resource on how to attenuate a signal like this? I imagine it's some resistors, but I don't really know. A key that relates a pad level to specific resistors would be great (like 10kOhms = -10 dB). Thanks!
AT933s (C/H/O) > AT8531s > UA-5 > H120 (Rockboxed)
