Nice find, T+!

IIUC, the standalone functionality is very similar to UA-5: 2 mic channels + 2 line channels in > 2 channels out (ana/digi). No four channel recording, but good for 2-ch matrix.

I guess the bitrate and frequency is set via software only (like Fast Track Pro)? OK as long as it remembers the settings after powering down, but still a slight disadvantage compared to UA-5.

DC requirement it 12V/3.5A. I wonder what the real standalone draw is? (UA-5 draws 450 mA)

It would be interesting to test if it can be underpowered by a 9V wally world battery. Otherwise you're stuck with bulkier/pricier powering options.

Current street price is around $320. Unless the components are way better (or you need it for studio use), I'd probably still put my money on a Busman modded UA-5 (goes for $275 in the YS).

Reading the promo piece, i can't tell how many of those six ins get passed to the computer as discrete channels for mixing. If it sends all 6 to the computer as seperate channels, this is a nice find.

We've been having this discussion about audio interfaces on the computer board for folks who want 4-8 channels for their small bands, with the ability to pass all 4-8 channels.
