SP-CMC-8 (cards version) VS OKMII//R (omnis)
« on: March 13, 2006, 01:02:12 PM »
In the past days posted: upgrade from  OKMII//R to DPA406`s
Read a lot in here, but the price tag of the DPA`s scared me  :-[ cannot spend that amount of $ even an auction that recently ended.
Kept reading the posts here and also recomended by a friend taper that the SP-CMC-8 would be the second choice, of course along with the SP-SPSB-3
I want to have them cardioid to avoid chatters/screamers on my back and sides.

Anyone with OKM//R that jumped to SP-CMC-8 have recomendations?

My current rig:
OKMII/R>A3>M1
For the record: going LINE IN and never used the bass roll off switch (once did it for testing and the bass was killed too much) never ever had brickwall problems.
I tape pop rock, sometimes loud metal

Read in here some pots that the SP-CMC-8 had some brickwall problems, some people says they dont.
And finally what can you say about the sanjay 3 wired battery box MOD
