Title: ua-5 power
Post by: BCostigan on October 20, 2003, 04:08:57 PM
I see that oade sells battery packs for the ua-5 and they are 12 volts.   Why does it seems like everyone make packs out of rc 9.6v batteries if you can use a 12 volt sla???  What am I missing??  ???

Because 9.6v NiMH packs are smaller, lighter, and cheaper.  I don't know why anyone would want to deal with SLA's to power a ua5 unless you already had a 12v system for some other gear.
