DC Power Plugs for Sony Portables (D7/D8/D100/M1):

Philmore  (http://www.philmore-datak.com)
TC240  |  (4mm OD x 1.7mm ID) - more secure than the RS flavor.

OR

Radio Shack  (http://www.radioshack.com)
273-1705  |  DC Adaptaplug , mates with...
273-1740  |  Female Adaptaplug Socket Cable

For all Sony portables (D7/8/100/M1):

Tip = hot  (+)
Ring = ground (-)

D7/D8 take 6v external power.
D100/M1 take 4.5v external power.

If you're using a 4-pin XLR to hook up to an external 6v battery for the D7/D8, use the following pin assignments:

Pin 3 = hot (+)
Pin 2 = ground (-)
