Hi-MD transfer failures

WTF Sony?  Why the hell can't you figure out how to transfer files with write errors.   Sonic Stage can read through the errors if playing it back, but not transfering it.  WTF   :'(

Just had that problem for the first time.  Had a 7M3 set, played fine on the HiMD.  Went to transfer with SS4, couldn't complete due to write errors.  Annoying, but I figured what the hell, I'll just do it analog line-in.  Discover that when SS4 couldn't transfer the file, it formatted the disc, so I got nothin'.

I guess it figures if it can't transfer it, then you don't need it ::)

Had the same problems with my MZ-RH910 Hi-MD.
Brought the MD back to Sony for service 3 times and they couldn't find the source that created the write errors.
They offered me a new MZ-RH10 and I was happy...  :D

Never had the problem again, but upgraded anyway to the JB3.
