First off, I do realize that many stealth issues are be best left to PMs. If there's something you can help me with that shouldn't be posted publicly, please feel free to PM me. I've owned my CA-14's for over a year now, but I've only used them a couple of times because I simply cannot find a logical way to clip them to my shirt. The fixed-position clip (which is at a 90 degree angle to the orientation of the mic) always seems to leave the mics in the worst possible position when clipped to a shirt (i.e. pointing straight up or straight down). I'm used to clipping much smaller mics to my shirt collar and just forgetting about them. The CA-14's, however, are a bit too heavy for shirt collar mounting. They always pull the collar down under their weight and the mics end up pointing toward the ground. There are so many people stealthing with CA-14s that someone must have found a solution. Everyone can't be hat mounting them? FWIW, I really don't want cards clipped to my head/hat/glasses - I don't like the idea of not being able to move my head.
My CA-14 stealth method is completely undetectable unless there is a pat down. PM sent.
I sent a pm on my cafs mounting.
I'd like that pm as well if you have the time or if someone else can shoot it my way it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
Sorry, I don't internet much on the weekends as I do not have a connection at home and the phone is a PITA for this type of stuff.I think I responded to everyone now. Seems like others are using a similar method already. ETA: About the questions of noise, here is a show I taped with this method: https://archive.org/details/dalewatson2012-09-15.CA-14omni.flac24I was pretty far back and the omnis still did pretty well.
You should PM everyone on the ts.com site.
I would appreciated a PM as well. Thanks.
amusing. i stealth with cmc-6/mk4 though kc5 cables and a sound devices 722. hundereds of shows and never caught.
I too would be interested in learning this method if someone could PM me with the info. Thanks!
Five pages of "me too" and whatnot. Why don't you just say the damn thing and get it over with?
Can I jump on the bandwagon too and get a PM? I'm considering upgrading my mics. Thanks!
I'm very interested in this topic today! Please PM me.Thanks!
Now I want a PM, just to find out if it's the method I'm thinking of or something else. Thanks!
The Hoff was bound to turn up here sooner or later...
I am astonished we have six pages of this. How hard is it to "clip CA-14 cards to your shirt"? Here's a thought: instead of posting here, why don't you just PM hoppedup or whoever and ask? Six pages of "me too!!!" Sigh...
Late to this topic. Great ideas guys.Hey, since everyone is so helpful, could someone please tell me the correct mounting method for the use of this style of capture device? Thanks

Are we back to the early days of the internet when people bitched about "waste of bandwidth" again? If not, then don't read all six pages and enjoy the time you saved. Simple enough.
I am on the verge of asking Chris Church to stop making CA-14 cards, if it'll put an end to this thread.
