Metal detectors
« on: May 15, 2016, 03:34:43 PM »
Hi all,

Tomorrow I'll be seeing AC/DC with Axl Rose in Werchter Belgium, unfortunately due to the terror attacks in Brussels and Paris the security is tighter. They start using metal detectors tomorrow. I'm afraid that I'll get caught when trying to enter the venue.

I'm running a M10 with CA9100 pre-amp and CA14s..

Any tips either here on over PM are definately appreciated.

Thanks!

Just saw a video of the setup tomorrow. I'm definitely not recording tomorrow. Triple metal detecting ports and after that a wand detector too.

I'll shoot some videos with my iPhone 6 instead not risking my equipment on this.

^This.

And when they balk, start undoing your belt and lowering your pants, and if they don't already stop you, start pulling your undershorts down a little ways also and say you'll gladly get naked right there on the spot if necessary.  And then with a sincere smile, say, "I just want to go in and enjoy the show."

Don't be intimidated by the machinery ~ it isn't nearly as difficult as you think.

Thanks for the help all. I've got the m10 in easily (earbuds and telling them it was a MP3 player). I had the mics in my pockets and no problems with the detectors or whatsoever.
