A few questions about church audio?

1) which one is better sound? CAFS or CROAKIE STEALTH CARDIOID MICROPHONE 4 R09 MT2 LS-10 MD?
2) Does CAFS come with a clip to put on your shirt?
3) Can I use a different preamp?
4) Is it better than Core Sound?

IMO Church's mics are better than anything Coresound makes except perhaps the High End Binaurals and the HEB's cost 6-8 X more than Church's mics.

I wouldn't recommend the HEB's either. If you want DPA 4060's or 4061's I'd recommend buying a used set from this forum for a lot less money. Some tapers have reported the HEB's needing repairs far sooner than expected and Core Sound's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Chris Church's is excellent although the shipping time for newly ordered gear can be quite long (probably because his gear is such a bargain that he's swamped with orders).

Not true. CAFS are omnis  so they couldn't be used in Chris' croakie stealth cardioids. I think Chris uses CA-11's in these, although you could get croakies with CAFS in them if you ordered it that way.

Chris gives a discount to taperssection members. Send him a P.M. or E-Mail for a price. In addition a lot of his highest quality stuff is not listed on E-Bay.
