Topic: best setup for jb3 with denecke AD20

Hi !

I have a JB3 with a denecke AD-20 converter, and a AKG c1000 mic.
I need to easily record singing ( classical singing ) lessons and concerts.
Therefore i really need some good tips as to which microphones to choose ( i´m concidering selling my c1000 mic )
which external batterypack to choose etc. i do not want to spent more than 250 dollars on the mics.. so in the range 100 - 250 aprox.

i only have one battery for the jb3, do anyone of you have a tip as to where i could get a good and light batterypack for it ?

Most condenser mics take phantom power, which an AD-20 doesn't provide.  The typical partner for the AD-20 is a PS-2 when phantom power is required.  If you don't want to add phantom power, you need something which runs on batteries.  There are a few decent mics which use batteries, which might be found within your price range, or close to it.  Nakamachi CM300, AT-822, Rode NT4, and the C1000S are the first ones which come to mind.
