External preamps into Marantz PMD671
« on: August 15, 2015, 12:59:31 PM »
Hi,
I'd like to use my Millennia HV-32P stereo mic preamp together with a Marantz PMD671 as AD converter and recorder: the problem is Millennia outputs are XLR balanced and Marantz line inputs are RCA unbalanced (XLR connector on Marantz are mic only, not line level if I understood correctly the user manual).
Any suggestions?
Thank you

Gianluca

Xlr>rca balanced>unbalanced interconnects. I have the same problem running Oade 148>Marantz 661. Doug was kind enough to modify my cables, no issues now.
