UA-5 w/ 3 mics
« on: November 08, 2004, 12:19:27 PM »
So, it was brought to my attention yesterday, while looking for a mx100 to run my three Nak's on, that I could run all three through my UA-5 by running the mic > xlr > transformer > dual mono rca into the back of the ua5. Anyone have any experience with this? An mx100 is not very expensive, so if I lose anything by running all three into the ua-5 I just want to go ahead and get the mx100.

you won't loose anything, it'll just cost you more to get the MX100 than it would to get a transformer.  Plus you will have to get it moded to run off of batts (unless the one you are looking at has the mod already).
