Title: nBox Elite-4 Channel
Post by: Chomps on September 24, 2017, 12:12:31 PM
After owning the nBox Platinum for a year, I asked Nicky about building me a 4 channel nBox. Being the master he is he mad this amazing box. I've been using it now for a few months and just got the cables modded/chopped after a visit to Nicky's lab.

Same inputs for the mics as the platinum. Outputs are 5 pin XLR. No internal batteries, the box runs off of phantom power.

Very cool - I was hoping you were going to post some pics.

Does it use the same sized box? No on/off switch?

Same sized box and no power switch. Uses phantom power from the deck.

That's cool
I like how it uses the 5 pin to keep everything smaller

Using phantom from your deck,  does that make your new nbox a 4 channel PFA box or does it utilize nbox pre's?  I ask because we have already talked about making a PFA box instead of naiants junky PFA cables

It's a 4 channel nbox that uses phantom instead of 9v batteries to power it. I have held it in my hands and got a chance to use it...it's awesome AF.

my PFA's are collecting dust just like my nBox Platunim 8)

I now use one Naztech battery in my bag. I run it on 16V and have had no issues running 6-8 channels(4 on Phantom) for 8-10 hours.

I will try and post a pic of my whole rig with the 4 channel mount I am using when I get some time.

+6 on the Elite. Lots of head room and super clean. Here is a  mix of both the MG 20 and 21's:

Junky? Seem solid to me. They're only collecting dust because I run almost 100%  >:D and go nbobs>IPA>m10.
