Todd, I'd be probably somewhere out by you if I weren't in Austin.  I enjoy having the city life and live music here, though.

Stuff going on at the end of March.  Hrm.  Not sure, to be honest.  I mean, there's always SOMETHING.  But as far as festivals and such, I'm really not sure. SXSW will be over, I think.  I'll have to look and see what I can dig up.

fwiw, my 2 cents.....

i bought a 10D in june and sold it in dec. it rocked as a camera. i used sigma lenses bc i couldnt afford "L" glass. and other canon lenses suck major ass.

i only got rid of it bc i use my s400 more often than not and it is a PITA to fly and travel with removable lenses.

in the golf world, every journalistic photographer uses DSLRs, half use Nikon and the other half use Canon.

if those guys are making a living shooting digital for magazines, you should be happy taking pics of your cat with one too.
