Easy joining of wav files?
« on: September 21, 2003, 11:00:23 PM »
In a stoned stupor I decided to cut a Derek Trucks song into three chunks during my CDWave session  ???

Now instead of writing my tracklisting as Joyful Noise pt. 1, 2, and 3 I'd like to join'em but not sure how would be easiest..  I was hoping there was some program that could just "do it" instead of cutting and pasting the three wavs into a new wav in Cool Edit or something..

Searched TS.com, looked through the archives.. still not sure?

Any help much appreciated!  Now that I'm armed with a firewire card for the jukebox I can get shows off the JB3.  I'm currently uploading a Railroad Earth show to the archive for sampling of my ADK SC-T's!

Take care,
Nick

WAVGLUE.. :D

DOS utility (miss these in this GUI day.. good ol' batch style)..

Just did it and listening to it now, seamless and "pop free" on the joins. ;D

If you like a GUI you can use WavMerge http://www.mrichter.com/cdr/files/wavmerge.zip

The other cool thing about this software is when you pop the wave files in and look at the time, a '+' is displayed if the file is not cut to cd sector size.  I often use it just to check files for sector compliance.

Thanks guys, +T's all around.. gonna get WavMerge just for fun too..

Mark, didn't you even read my question :P  BTW, do you want that RRE show?  There was some 460's and some Sennheisers (sp?) there too, guy named Pete I believe..  They actually got the whole show ::)  Didn't know if you'd want another source...sounds great.  They basically did a left stack tape, I was DFC.

Heh obviously not  .

Peter Doerr is a great guy from Mich, he will sometimes run his Senn's & an AT822 mic through a simple radioshack mixer into a sbm1 with great results, don't know who the 460's would belong to though ... Yeah I would be interested in hearing your ADK's, can I can DL from you somewhere ?

I'm trying to upload it to "the archive" now...  first disc is on their and am transferring the second one now, although at 20kb/sec it's gonna take a while!  I'd think we could do it via some IM software too or something, or perhaps I can offer it on Further?  Up for whatever...

I think I've got their e-mail addresses laying around if you wanted to find the 460 guy too, he was running them into a oade brick, but not sure if it was a 248 or a 148 into a Marantz pro MD deck.  Remember them both being very excited about my JB3, as they're looking into buying one.. ;D
