Mixer with low pass option?
« on: May 10, 2009, 12:36:27 PM »
I have been taping four channels with dpa 4099s and 4063s, bascially just using the omnis to get the low end to correct the 4099s.  In discussing other options I was pointed to a Schoeps product, a low pass filter LP40U.  These are designed for the same application for Schoeps MK41s and omnis, allowing you to just tape two channels and mix the omni low end with the cardioid signal.  But they are designed for XLR phantom powered mics, I need something for the mini dpa series mics.  Is there a (small, battery powered) mixer that allows any sort of low pass option (high pass seems to be all the popular ones allow)?  Can anyone customize these?

Jeff
